why do car problems happen at the worst time?

there was an oh so lovely malfunction with our car yesterday, what a joy! i was in roseville, in the 105 temp, and kyri was at home with uncle andy. i was gone for about 4 hours running errands, getting ready for our trip and i had just finished my last stop at nordstrom rack. i put the key in the ignition and wouldn't you know, the car wouldn't start. i was actually on the phone with kev as he is ready to board his plane to come from home from minneapolis. he tells me to call my dad and see if he can help me figure out whats wrong. i tried messing with battery terminals to see if they were loose, nope. my battery was dead. i'm now crying and no one in the busy parking lot has stopped to ask if i need any help. it's hot, my hood is up, and still no one stopped. at this point, i'm so so thankful that kyri is not with me. i called our friend darrell to see if he could come help me. he got there very quickly, with a cold ice water for me (in the meantime, two people asked if i needed any help AFTER darrell was almost there). he jump-started my car and followed me home.

kevin made it home safely late last night. i'm so glad he is back! and of course, kyri is too! after breakfast, my poor husband had to go get a new battery. he went to go start the car and it was dead again. he went to go move his best buy van over to the car to jump-start it, and it was dead too! what are the chances!! so darrell came to our rescue again and took kevin to the auto parts store to get a battery. he was out there, in the dreadful heat, putting that stupid new battery in. its a good thing we are leaving tomorrow for our road trip to disneyland! geeeeez. perfect timing.

to make the day even better, i feel like i'm going to puke. i have been laying on the couch all day, feeling nauseous and sick to my stomach. what is going on? are we not suppose to go on this vacation we've been planning for months? i am just praying that whatever is going on with my body, will be gone in the morning. please pray that God would take this ready-to-puke feeling away. i am sort of done packing and its 9:30 at night. i so wish this day went differently. tomorrow is a new day and we are off to disneyland!
