i made kyri's valentine's this year. she wrote her name on each one,
which wasn't so fun for her, but they sure did turn out cute!

all you need is love.

i suppose i should go ahead and share our valentine's day pictures...before it's march. i'm just so not good at keeping up with all of my photos. i take so many that it's overwhelming when i go to update the blog. someday i'll get it down. my dream is to continue our family blog and also start a gluten-free baking and craft blog...wouldn't that be awesome?!

i love a good reason to celebrate and valentine's is one of those holidays! making treats, crafts, and gifts. for the kids, i put together baskets filled with goodies. you know, it's not just for easter. i started collecting things here and there for the past few months. i made heart-shaped felt bags that i filled with treats. they turned out so cute! felt is my new favorite material to work with. i also made kev a frame with felt roses around it. it was inspired by this fabulous wreath, which i still totally want to make. i already had the felt leftover from kyri's birthday, the white frame was on clearance at target for $1.28, and the photo printed at costco for $0.13...super cute and only $1.41! i made his valentine's card out of the same picture, which is my fave of the two of us. so happy together.

breakfast together as family to start our day, lots of cuddle time, and making sweets for the ones i love so much. after the kids went to bed, i made a romantic late-night meal for kev and i. roasted pork tenderloin with garlic and rosemary, mashed orange sweet potatoes and green beans. it was a beyond delicious meal! savory and satisfying. i am a lucky girl to have such a handsome valentine. he's a keeper! valentine's day with my three loves was perfectly perfect.

heart-shaped buckwheat pancakes with strawberries. yum.

kyri's valentine's basket.

kyri smiling at the camera...kaden checking out the goods.

all he wanted was the sparkly plastic grass.

k is for kyri girl.

i made valentine's for the kids to give daddy with their tiny handprints.
quite the task with an 18-month old!

raisins are his new favorite snack.

coloring with daddy.

gifts for my hot husband.

treats i made for kyri's preschool class party.
gluten-free red velvet cupcakes and rice chex krispies.

i love how these cupcakes turned out...so beautiful!

go packers!

superbowl party at our house with the haskins family made for a good time! even though we aren't huge football plans, we really love staying home to watch the game because it just looks so good on our t.v. we invited darrell, sandie, and their boys came over and spend the afternoon with us. we had plenty of chips, veggies and guacamole. a party mus! i made g.f. chocolate football cupcakes too...i can't help myself. i love an excuse for making creative cupcakes! except making these was bittersweet because i couldn't even lick the frosting. i'm on a no-sugar diet right now, which is pretty much the hardest thing ever. for dinner, i made all the fixin's for taco salad. with full bellies, we all watched a great game! we were cheering on the packers and were so excited to see them take the victory! we knew kev's family would be celebrating in omaha too. the haskins are also big fans of glee, so of course we watched the new episode after the game. singing zombies was a perfect way to end a great, relaxing day!

kyler and kyri took a break from the game to watch how to train your dragon.

shoving a cupcake in his face...totally kaden.

mama, more chocolate please?

darrell feeding sandie a grape. so sweet!

kaden being silly with kyler.
our son is such a little love.
