we spent the afternoon at the wagstaff's house, watching the super bowl and celebrating rick's birthday. i made football cookies for the party, as well as a super yummy artichoke and jalapeno dip! we ate lots of chips and dip and enjoyed the commercials. i wasn't really rooting for either team, but i did think it would have been great if the patriots kept their winning streak. i only really watched half-time and the last quarter. the little guys watched peter pan on a portable dvd player during part of the game. it was so cute how they just stood around this tiny screen to watch the movie. kyri actually did very well considering she wouldn't take a nap when we got home from church. she had fun playing with the other kids and the two puppy dogs at the house (she loves dogs!). it was a very relaxing day with friends. even though i'm not really into football, the super bowl is a great excuse to hang out and eat guacamole. what a great afternoon!
