dress up

kyri has started finding things around the house lately to become her "accessories." if she finds one of my bras, she will put it around her neck as a necklace, she loves to wear our shoes, and when she ties anything around her waist, her shirt instantly becomes a "dress, mama!". for about a week now, she goes into her room everyday, dumps out the basket of fake food next to her kitchen, and comes running out of her room with the basket on her head. this was something she figured out all on her own. she calls it her "hat" and we can't help but think its the cutest thing ever.

yesterday kevin came home from a bike ride. when he walked in the door, kyri was very excited to see daddy and of course noticed his helmet on his head. she said, "daddy, hat!" and wanted him to take it off...so she could put it on of course! once it was on, there was no turning back. she also needed it to be buckled. after a few minutes with just the helmet she said to me, "mama, elmo backpack." she needed to complete the whole ensemble. now she is ready to go! i love having a girl that loves to accessorize...so fun!
