what is a better way to say "thank you" than with lots of yummy treats?! we had an open house for all of our friends who helped in making our house renovation and move possible. not only did our friends help by painting for many hours, lending us their tools, and doing tedious projects at the house...but they also helped in a HUGE way by watching our kids for us so we could get all the much needed work done! it is so true when we say, "we couldn't have done it without you!" after doing a little more decorating and finishing touches, we thought it would be fun to invite everyone over for a dessert bar and a chance to see our house (almost) complete. i baked lots of gluten-free goodies...mini vanilla cupcakes with strawberry buttercream, rice chex crispy treats, and gooey frosted brownies with ice cream. so many delicious choices! we received such sweet, unexpected housewarming gifts too...thanks, friends! our favorite would have to go to the blueberry plant from the carpenter's. kyri can't wait to pick blueberries in the backyard!
i can't even tell you how wonderful it felt to FINALLY host a party in my very own home! a dream come true. i just love having the space to have lots of friends over and enjoy their company. we have the best friends around. so blessed. the kids love each other to pieces. kyri and kaden are full of joy when their buddies come over! makes my mommy heart happy. i look forward to hosting many more parties at the hornacek's house!
