happy birthday, my sweet girl.

on kyri's birthday, january 3, we had a fabulous day! for breakfast, i made yummy cranberry muffins and we sang happy birthday, with candles of course. that has now become a family tradition. having grandma and grandpa there to celebrate made it even better! that afternoon we headed to the mall to take kyri to their new indoor play area. she loves going to the mall! the whole new section at the mall in roseville is pretty neat so we wanted to take grandma and grandpa there. we were all getting hungry, especially pregnant mommy, which meant it was time for an early dinner! we just had to go to red robin...our most favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays. we are actually getting a red robin in lincoln and it should be opening soon! yay! after a wonderful meal, it was sundae time at the hornacek residence. since we did cupcakes for kyri's party, i decided to do ice-cream sundaes on her actual birthday. good choice! everyone was in heaven eating their hot fudge sundaes, especially the birthday girl. kyri was also able to open her presents from grandma and grandpa. they bought her a new, red radio flyer scooter! she could not have been more excited! mommy and daddy got her a mickey mouse clubhouse helmet, with matching knee pads. she was all ready to go now! i think its safe to say that kyri had a great birthady. lots of family time, yummy treats, love and kisses! what a joy she is in our lives.

blowing out her candles on her birthday morning.

check me out on my cool new scooter!

safety first!

looks like a pretty delicious masterpiece to me!

after her bath, kyri asks to be wrapped like a burrito...so cozy.

the day before kyri's birthday, we had to say goodbye to uncle andy. we weren't quite ready to see him go, but it was time to head back to the air force. he is now stationed at edwards air force base, so he isn't too far away. we just loved every minute we got to spend with him. kyri is very close to her uncle andy and misses him dearly. Lord, keep him safe. we love you, bro.
