the hornacek family: halloween party for the grown-ups!

our friends, jackie and justin, threw an awesome halloween party for all the grown-ups...which meant a night out to dress up with your husband! so fun! kev and i haven't dressed up for halloween in a few years so we were both pretty excited. i remember my parents throwing huge halloween parties when i was little. i just love dressing up! picking out our costumes was pretty fun too. we decided to go as a hip 70's couple. my friend lisa had saved a bunch of dresses from the 70's so i was able to borrow one of them. they were all so awesome, but the pink one was my favorite! love the pleats. kev already had the perfect shirt so i just found him some polyester pants at the thrift store for $1. i had to alter them to fit, but you couldn't beat the price. my mom's husband let kev borrow his high school letterman's jacket. it was perfect! we looked pretty darn cute if i do say so myself!

the party was so FUN! jackie and justin know how to throw a party! there was tons of food, drinks, and crazy, messy games. they cleared out their garage so we could do a bunch of minute-to-win-it games. hilarious to watch! everyone looked awesome in their costumes. kev and i just love hanging out with our friends...without our kids needing us every 5 minutes. it's so nice to laugh together and finish a conversation! my mom came up to be with the kids so we could stay out as late as we wanted. what a treat!
