pumpkins!

it has become a family tradition to carve pumpkins every halloween. this year we went from carving three pumpkins, to carving four! kyri is still a little young to carve her pumpkin by herself, so we let her draw the face and mommy helps her carve it out. kyri loved playing with the seeds and i let her cut the little leftover pumpkin pieces. i told her that pumpkins are a vegetable so she ate a piece. she liked it too! silly girl. daddy carved kaden's pumpkin...a tiny crying baby face. so cute! carving pumpkins is always a longer process than i anticipate, but totally worth it. kyri gets so excited to see them lit up when we are all done. best part! we love creating these memories as a family. the older kyri gets, the more fun we have together. kids are just the best!

kyri and her adorable pumpkin!

reminds me of dale, from chip and dale.

love these moments with my girl.

kyri kept saying that "mommy's pumpkin has no eyes."

kevin busy carving his batman logo...kyri pouting because all of her tape is gone.

i wonder if this will be the number of pumpkins for the hornacek family, or if in a couple of years there will be one more?

happy halloween!

looks like tons of fun. if the Lord thinks you need another baby, you'll have one. :o) creative Kevin there with Kaden's pumpkin.

Dude, aren't pumpkins technically a fruit? You should stop lying to your daughter, Sarah.
