kyri has been asking to go on a "beach bacation" for months now...and mommy too. so we decided to take a day trip to half moon bay, to celebrate kev's birthday. the kids did really well in the car...2 and a half hours is a long time to be in the car. once we got there, kyri could not wait to get out and run around. it was overcast and a bit chilly, but we were so excited to be at the beach! the saltwater in the air. the sound of the waves. so peaceful. kyri was in heaven. too cold to get wet, but perfect for playing in the sand. we enjoyed a picnic lunch, building sandcastles, digging our feet in the sand, snuggling on the blanket, and simply being together. we love living close enough to drive to the ocean. it is definatly one of my most favorite places to go. take a gander at the many photos from our "beach bacation."
