love day...and my birthday.
even though two weeks have passed...i couldn't go on blogging without posting about valentines day and my 27th birthday. on valentines day, we celebrated at home with a very sick little girl. the night before, kyri threw up and had a high fever. poor precious love. after opening gifts, i made a super yummy breakfast...before kevin had to head off to work. i made pancakes (the best martha stewart recipe!), a spinach and bacon quiche, and fruit salad. kyri only ate a couple bites, but kevin and i enjoyed a very delicous meal. i spent the rest of the day cleaning the house, while kyri watched movie after movie. she didn't want to do anything but lay on the couch in her jammies. her fever actually got to 104.5 so i called our nurseline. they told me to give her a warm bath and some ibuprofen. her temperature dropped quite a bit and she was ready to at least eat something. i was just thankful she wasn't having trouble keeping fluids down. kevin came home around 8:00...we put our sick baby to bed, ate a late dinner, and then enjoyed a romantic movie together. for dessert, i made heart-shaped cheesecakes with strawberries. the crust was nilla wafers...kev's favorite! even with a not-so-herself little girl, it was still a nice day at home with my family.

very special love day breakfast.
romantic dessert for mommy and daddy to enjoy.
on my actual birthday, february 15, my mom came up so that kevin and could go on a date. we were both able to go to church, while she stayed at home with our sick little girl. kyri still had a high fever, but was starting to get her energy she back. she was so happy to have nana over! later that evening, kevin and i went out dinner...at red robin of course! i couldn't break the 6 year tradition. i had the whiskey river bar.b.q. burger, which is my all time favorite! i've totally been craving burgers this pregnancy. what can you do...when you crave something, you gotta have it. after dinner, we went to go see the movie push. i really liked it, even though kev thought it was just ok. they will definitely be doing a sequel of that one. we just can't wait for x-men origins: wolverine to come out! those are our favorite type of movies to go see. transformers 2 will be a must too! our date nights are just never long enough. thanks, babe...for a wonderful evening out on my birthday!
love this boy.
