we bought a new chair and ottoman today! well, it's called a "chair and a half" because it fits two. kevin and i decided that since financially we weren't ready to move into a house, we would make some changes to our apartment to spruce it up and make it more cozy. as of right now, we only have a couch and a recliner in our living room. with our new chair, we will have a chair for two and an ottoman that can also provide seating. the recliner will go to the office/guestroom. it works out perfectly!
we have looked all over town for some time now and today we made an adventure out of finding the perfect chair! we headed to ikea, which neither one of us have ever been to, and spent 3 hours there. we looked at everything and had lunch in their cafe. kyri did wonderful and lunch was yummy. there was a chair and ottoman that was a great price, but not exactly what we wanted. for us, if we were going to spend money, it needed to be perfect! so we left ikea and headed to ashley furniture store. we walked in and there it was. literally the first thing we saw..the perfect chair! we sat right down in it and were immediately in love. sounds crazy, but its true. we continued to look around the store, but every chair we saw, we only compared to the red one. i thought kevin would think it was too feminine, but he sooo loves it and so do i! its microfiber with a velvet feel and is super super soft. we couldn't pass up the chair (and a half) and ottoman that we both love and at such a good price. kevin even got the salesman to take off the tax, saving us $50. they should be here in the next two weeks and we can't wait! so fun to get an early christmas present! thanks, kevin, you are the bestest husband ever and i can't wait to cuddle with you on our new chair!
